Integrated navigation systems

SSF has considerable expertise in developing and delivering complex GPS (satellite, pseudolite) positioning solutions for different environments and applications. Our experience covers positioning system analysis, requirements specification, software development and integration.

SSF provides our customers with custom navigation systems for outdoor applications. The systems utilise satellite GPS coverage with carefully designed local pseudolite augmentation. The solutions are typical for dense and obstructed environments that have limited GPS availability.

The solutions are based on two different technologies - the DGPS and RTK-GPS. The selection depends on the application requirements such as desired navigation precision, coverage, availability and robustness.

SSF can also take part in the enhancement of existing inertial or optical position systems by providing dedicated solutions for increasing system performance and precision.

Pseudolite augmented systems use both satellite GPS signals and ground based pseudolite signals for navigation. For environments that have a complete block out of satellite GPS, please take a look at the NAVIndoor™ product.
