In search of Nuclear Fusion - Department of Intelligent Hydraulics and Automation at Tampere University of Technology
The department of intelligent hydraulics at Tampere University of Technology is developing robotic arms for remote maintenance operations of the fusion reactor developed by the international ITER project. Together with SSF, a gap analysis of IHA’s current software development process was performed against the requirements for software related to nuclear power plants. The gap analysis quickly identified where current practices must be developed. As a result of the gap analysis, a process improvement effort has been initiated.
