Space Systems Finland was present in the ASD Annual Convention 2009, which was organised 1.-2.10 2009 in Helsinki.
The AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe, ASD, represents the aeronautics, space, defence and security industries in Europe in all matters of common interest with the objective of promoting and supporting the competitive development of the sector. ASD pursues joint industry actions which require to be dealt with on a European level or which concern issues of an agreed transnational nature, and generates common industry positions. ASD has 30 member associations in 20 countries across Europe and represents over 2000 companies with a further 80 000 suppliers, many of which are SMEs.
Senior representatives from Europe’s aerospace, defence and security industries were gathered in Helsinki on 1-2 October to discuss how to navigate through today’s challenging economic conditions, and to prepare for a strong post-crisis rebound. The 2009 Convention of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) was co-hosted by AFDA, the Association of Finnish Defence and AeroSpace Industries.
